MY BACKGROUND
I have a longstanding interest in
holistic therapies as well as personal and spiritual development.
Having dabbled in a variety of complementary therapies
to treat myself and my family I chose to specialise in
Kinesiology
as a result of my own experience of how effective it was
in resolving my own health problems. For many years I
had suffered from Irritable Bowel Syndrome and in 1998
a chance reunion with an old friend who had trained as
a kinesiologist changed my life! I was so impressed with
the wealth of information that was immediately available
by muscle testing -
which taps directly into the body’s energy system
– just knowing which foods to avoid and the specific
nutritional supplements I needed led to a dramatic decrease
in my symptoms! And once I started having regular treatments
to rebalance my energy system a lot of emotional ‘baggage’
which had been contributing to my condition surfaced and
was released leading to even greater improvements and
eventually to me feeling ‘normal’ again! I
have undertaken professional training both in yoga and
kinesiology (see below) which has opened many doors for
me, enabling me to develop my own potential as well as
giving me the skills to work with others to get rid of
what is holding them back and pave their way for a brighter,
healthier and more rewarding future!
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS
KFRP (Kinesiology Federation
Registered Practitioner)
Dip MESK (Middle
England School of Kinesiology)
Professional training in Classical Kinesiology - this
gave me a comprehensive ‘naturopathic’ understanding
of the imbalances and dysfunctions that lead to poor physical
health and how best to treat them using nutrition (diet
& supplements), flower essences and specific kinesiology
techniques. Includes specific modules in Nutrition,
Counselling, Anatomy & Physiology & Clinical Medicine.
Health Kinesiology (Stages 1-6,
Scott Protocol, 16P’s)
– I was particularly impressed by the methods used
in Health Kinesiology to eradicate allergies and raise
tolerance levels to foods and other substances that clients
commonly had problems with.
Touch for Health (Stages 1-6)
– treating the client by muscle testing to find
out any ‘imbalances’ in the energy system
and using specific techniques to ‘rebalance’.
Australian Bush Flower
Essences (Levels I & II)
– includes application of these wonderful essences
to relieve most physical conditions as well as treating
the person on the emotional, spiritual and mental levels.
Phytobiophysics
(Introduction & Level I) – includes using
the essences to treat clients on all levels - physical,
emotional, mental & spiritual and using podo-racidian
therapy when appropriate.
British Wheel of
Yoga Teaching Diploma - as a practicing Yoga teacher
I understand the importance of exercise, relaxation and
spiritual nurturance in health and well being.
I have attended short courses in a range
of related subjects including Emotional
Freedom Technique, Homoeopathy, Aromatherapy and Holistic
Massage all of which are integrated into my work.
