A few years ago, I was assistant manager
for a busy TV company based in London and was very stressed
and run down. I felt generally unwell and began to suffer
with palpitations, shortness of breath and panic attacks.
In August 2001, I had terrible chest pains and was referred
to a specialist who discovered that I had a virus in the
muscles surrounding my heart. For six weeks I had no energy
and was completely exhausted. The virus eventually cleared
up, but the palpitations persisted and no-one could find
a cause.
I realised that I couldn't continue living
my life in this way and knew I had to do something about
it. My husband and I made a decision to leave our lives
in London and make a fresh start in Derbyshire. Leaving
behind the stress of my job helped a little and I felt
more relaxed, but my palpitations continued and I still
felt as though I was completely out of balance. I was certain
that food allergies were a part of my problems, but despite
keeping food diaries, trying elimination diets and visiting
a nutritionist, I hadn't reached any conclusions.
An acquaintance
suggested I try Health Kinesiology, a holistic way of
treating the body to bring the energy system back into
harmony and balance. At my first appointment, I wasn't
sure what to expect as I had never tried any sort of complementary
therapy before, but I found it very relaxing and the work
that we did was very relevant to me. Over the course of
about 8 months I had several appointments and noticed a
positive improvement after every one. I discovered I had
numerous food allergies, many of which were successfully
treated using a simple allergy tap technique. I also had
a severe wheat allergy and after completely cutting wheat
out of my diet, my palpitations started to be less frequent
and I began to feel well again. I also successfully reintroduced
other foods back into my diet which no longer caused
me problems. Since then, I have never looked back!
The
HK also worked on improving my general health and wellbeing
and releasing the stress that had built up in my system
over time. I was so impressed with what HK achieved for
me, that I decided to train as a practitioner myself
so that I could help other people with their health problems
too. I qualified as a Registered Practitioner in March
2005.
I am currently working from my treatment
room at home and appointments are available on a Saturday
morning between 9am - 1pm.
Health Kinesiology has enabled
me to regain control over my life - maybe I could help
do the same for you!
